DUCATI 999 engine in 749?

sweet thanks dude ,finding a whole wrecked 999 is pretty hard to find ,but 749's are dime a dozen .lots of 749 ex race turds to pick from .

 

what/ where are some of the places you search for left for dead 749's?

 

my buddy in jacksonville just put an 800cc super sport air cooled motor in a 749 chasis with a 748 single-sided swingarm. He's using the 749 muffler and bodywork as well. It is a very interesting bike to ride.

 

I am doing the 999 swap for my bike right now. It can be done. Just make sure you get a virgin 999 ecu also. Not to thread jack but if anyone needs a 749 engine let me know I have one for sale I would like to get rid of. Nothing wrong with it and it runs strong.
