I could drag him behind my truck, with a company provided hard hat..My loads are overweight, and I have a hard time making turns, and stopping. It gives me a rush,so I could transfer it to him,and hope we both make it? He would have to smell brake smoke, and possibly use a fire extiguisher. I almost burnt one down tonight, and the smoke and smell was horrible.
I’ve seen that “reasoning” used for everything from helmets to boots to their new D-Air suit. “I don’t want to mess up my good ____ in the rain”. WTF? The chances of crashing are higher in the rain, if want the exact same level of protection, if not more.
For a rider at the pinnacle of our sport displaying this 'helmet dragging phenomenon' is a pretty reckless exhibition. Zero value added and a stupid stunt at best.
