does WERA accept helmets that have an ECE 22-05?

I've got a Vemar helmet that I really like. It has DOT and and ECE 22-05 stickers on it. But it does NOT have an "EC" approval as stated ion the WERA rulebook.

Mongo or anyone: Are EC and ECE the same thing?

This is second hand info from http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-helmets/ece-22-05.htm

"Helmets certified to the ECE 22.05 standard are approved for competition events by AMA, CCS, FIM, Formula-USA and WERA. . . "

And I did a search on the BBS but found nothing other than the "EC" requirement.

    Mongo? Anyone?

    Thanks!

Pretty sure a modern ECE certification is legal.

(Hold for an answer by somebody who knows anything about anything.)
