Don't look now mongo but come next season I WILL HAVE A GSXR-1000 to run. This season I'll just have to get my license on '89 - '93 GSXR-750 hot rod ( I pulled the 906 motor and put in a faily stock '90 750) and I'll need the buy a box of 16"ths bits and some wire. got all new gear together except acceptible gloves (JU, thanks for Having such a great paper. And I just got a set of Sidi Vertibres, gratis courtesy of the ad. [worn once and even the toes are not scuffed, got an AKITO - MOTOPORT Suit minus armour but with pucks and armour pocket's. Guess I'll get to be a Green shirt in wera toward the end of summer. It will sure beat going off the roads around here, just can't seem to restrain myself. Oh I start out cruisin, but as the tires warm, I start later brakin and rollin on sooner and by the end of a road that I know well, I'm sliding both ends and backin it in. Gotta get back on a track and unfamiliar ground.
    Or I won't see 55 or 60 for sure.
So not all of us "old farts" like itty-bitty bikes. I weigh 250 lbs (ok a little less, 237 or so).
But some of us crusty 50 year olds, need something that will lite her up comin' up out of a turn, so yeah I gotta buy more tires, but ya gotta make up for the size some how and I figure terminal velocity and late brakein' the straight is an aceptable alternative for us "BIGGER" old crusties.

Let's hope you learn some restraint before you show up for CORC. Would not like the idea of a GSXR1000 plowing into my TZ. I suspect I know what _that_ outcome would be like. [IMG]

Well I'll just have to try and navagate aroud you on the straights - if you'll do the same for me in the corners. Run my own race in my head, and by being there, I will be quiet, in the back ground and sheepish.
(OK, for a bit). I was not sugesting I was gonna be a careless a$$hole, just like to try and follow Kevin Schwantz's advice " If your not living on the edge you're leavin' to much room ". [IMG] [IMG]

won't be ready for Roebling, and that's KULDDY (KOOLDADDY a nick name I earned from a salesman at a car lot I was a manager at in Santa Monica. I was the only one he knew that rode a 1458/750 GSXR at 44years old.).
I will have to work out some stuff with the wife (she's not to keen on me racin again, having stopped before I met her [7years ago], but shes only 33 so she'll get over it).
Think I have decided on A KX-500 (would love to use an SV-650 being a suzuki fanatic, but they come much dearer).

Just moving this up again. Hope for answer now that Mongo is back from playing in Fla. Just a crusty with a LW bike looking to see if the LW are going to have a place in this class if it happens.

The crusty class will be on the Roebling schedule - I'm not 100% sure which day just yet. Any preferences from the crusties? The upper limit will be B Superbike rules, the lower limit will not exist for now until we get a feel for how well y'all can play together.

Don't care which day. If you run it on saturday, just make sure you don't schedule it as a back-to-back with a solo20......just so we crusties can have a Geritol break. [IMG]

That was my biggest concern, especially since we don't have any Vintage races at Roebling. It gives me more time but since CORC will allow all sizes there's no good place to put it. I'm thinking before lunch might work, that way all you old farts still have energy from your one-a-day and it puts it before your afternoon nap time... [IMG]

Some days I kill me... [IMG]

Saturday sounds good to me. That'll leave us plenty of time to recuperate before we have to race the youngun's on Sunday. :)>
