The depressing Irish road racing threads reminded me I'd been meaning to post this for a couple weeks now. 3 episodes out so far and they're pretty damn cool. I've always liked to try and catch the TT stuff when I could or when it was convenient but the last couple years, there hasn't been a convenient place for me to watch. This series now has me all hyped up and wanting to actively go looking for a place to watch this year.
Yup, get those on the Live+ app too. And there is the IOM TT Podcast which is MEGA and tons of great stories and wealth of info. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLUUbxBcRyhJ9g5ZN1qrRGCQQA-_Mvym0j The latest one is with one of my heroes, Clive Padgett.
We're going this year!!!!! All reservations are made and we're just waiting. Been trying to scope out locations where we want to watch. Bray Hill Barregarrow The Creg Kirk Michael Hillberry
Bray is awesome, always a good spot. Both top and bottom. Barregarrow is another great one, but pack for a hike and bring food. There's only outhouses out that way and you'll be trapped until the roads open. Can't ever go wrong with the Creg. Probably the closest corner to a US racetrack however, in terms of speed/visceral feeling. Won't get that wide-eyed "holy fuck" as we whoosh by at 150mph. Lots of awesome leg dangling though. Kirk Michael is the opposite: ALL the "holy fuck". Get there early. Hillberry is a perfect mix of holyfuck and accessibility. I think you have to pay to sit at the grandstands right in the corner, but I can only imagine it's worth it. My second-favorite corner on the course, I think.
