Ok, so I'm coming to the end of my two year stint in China, while checking scooter prices for my replacement I found this in the Suzuki shop. Sure I read the article in RRW but thought the black and red looked too much like the Kawasaki 650. However the KTM colors don't look bad. Thoughts?
Cheap Chinese knock off of a Kawi ER-6. From what I can tell in the pics, the bike is nearly a direct copy of the Kawi (tank, seat, fender and wheels look to be the only original pieces). China has a history of "borrowing" Japanese technology. I'm Not sure I would trust the reliability, but I bet the price is low enough not to care too much.
Thoughts? My thoughts are I wonder if Mr. Pornstar jumped any me-so-horney types during his two year stint....well, inquiring minds...welcome back...
Interesting comments and had this bike not been reviewed in RRW I probably would not have even posted it. If I remember from the article, I believe it stated that some of the issues with the Kawasaki it was based on had been resolved by CFMoto. From memory, I believe the US price was slightly over half of what the Kawasaki sold for. Now the Chinese are very critical of their purchases and value quality and name brand. Cadillac, Ford, Chevy and Buick are all selling well in China and as their economy improves people will continue to purchase these luxury items. Kangas, you are and have always been the porn star and many of us live only through your adventures. In China, I have enough time to work, eat and sleep.
