I'm changing my brake fluid for a track day this weekend and was wondering how often this should be done for a track bike.
    Thanks in advance:D

    RCjohn Killin machine.

Whenever you crash and snap off a reservoir. :D

I would say whenever you think the stuff is looking discolored or for a mental boost when you are uncomfortable with your brakes operation. ;)

Just make sure that you use a high-quality fluid like Motul. Don't use any auto parts store junk. Fluid from places like Pep Boys will boil over without much prodding, and will require changing every weekend.

  4. And....

If you use a "racing" brake fluid like Motul RBF or Castrol SRF you will need to replace the fluid after:

    - racing in the rain
    - trailering in the rain (open trailer, of course)
    - leaving the bike in the rain

The "racing" fluids tend to be much more hygroscopic than the off-the-shelf DOT 4 fluids.
