Ordered a set of Carbone Lorraine C43 pads, and got a box today containing C44 pads. Carbone Lorraine site doesn't even list C44. Plan on calling the vendor tomorrow, but wondering if anyone out there knows what the difference is?

    Mark,
The C43 and C44 are the same pads. The C44 is the newer one. Carbone Lorraine is changing the numbers from time to time, the compound is the same.

I've found the 44s seem to last a little longer than the 43s.

Thanks Matthias -- saved me a call to you guys today. BTW, these pads are okay to run on ductile iron rotors, correct? I was surprised they were a sintered compound -- I was expecting a carbon/organic pad.

    Mark,
Yes, they are working very good on ductile iron.

How do they compare to the Vesrah or SBS pads if you have used them?

I think the C44's give great feel with good power. If anything, maybe they could use more ultimate stopping power but if that would take away from the great feel they provide, I'm ok with them as they are.
