Car Body Repair Question

So, the new Brazilian au pair is no Senna and she hates trees. She drove the Volvo into a tree on Thursday. It was probably less then 20mph judging from the damage. Airbag wasn't deployed and everyone was ok.

So, I'm thinking I can fix this. I mean, I've fixed my share of crashed bikes and broken airplanes over the years. I think I'm pretty good on everything, but do have a question on straightening Left Frame Rail. As you can see from the pic, it was pushed up a few inches.

Since I have no experience fixing car damage like this, I am looking for any advice on how I can straighten that piece with minimum equipment? I've thought about pulling it down, but have no idea how I would do so in my garage.

Also, if anyone has access to S60 front end stuff I'm shopping around for some stuff.

Sorry dude, you're not cheapening out on this one.

It needs to go on a frame machine where it'll get pulled straight again. can you guarantee that the frame rail shift didnt also move the suspension points out of whack?

Damn the P2 platform folds like paper. Going through similar stuff right now with my moms 04 V70.

SHe got rear ended and on quick glance it looks minimal, bumper cover. But nooo....the entire trunk area on left corner got pushed in collectively, The rear drivers door has no gap against the body.

Body shop looked at it, $7k+ in work to fix it. Insurance wants to write it off but my mom is emotionally attached to it. I kinda agree with her. Had it since new, always garaged, its got 80k on it, mint inside and out and she will get $$$ to buy someone elses clapped out hooptie...

You won't fix that without a frame machine. With a laser system to do it right. And replacing the driver side frame horn or more it looks like. Frame damage is rated on 3 points- mash, sag, and sway. That vehicle has major shifts of all three from what I can see. Besides that you're not going to find the parts cheap. If this is an older Volvo it's going to cost you more time and money to fix right than it's worth. How much trouble are you willing to go through with inexperience to save a few bucks and a wrecked well used vehicle.

If the car is worth less than 8-10k it's not worth it unless you really know what you're doing and have a good source of used/aftermarket parts.

Part it out and get another one. Or find one with a blown motor and put this motor in that one, and keeping important spares just in case gremlins/accidents happen to the next one

Depending on how new it is, the frame may be designed as a crumple zone to reduce energy transmitted to the passenger compartment. Fix it? I sure wouldn't.

Been there, done that. Much happier with the Brazilians. Our first was from Swedan. It was a disaster. Hot as hell, but a complete bitch. I kept her around for probably 3 or 4 more months than I should have, just because she looked that red headed Killian's girl.
