Boyd Coddington passes away

Just read that Boyd Coddington passed away this morning at age 63. http://www.autoblog.com/2008/02/27/breaking-boyd-coddington-dies-at-age-63/

Liked his cars and work, and tried to not let the show detract from that.

 

Based on his show he probably stroked out.
He did produce some of the coolest rides :up:

 

he always seemed kinda sickly...

while his cars were pretty cool, from the what i saw on his show, he was a world class asshole and his new wife had him pussywhipped beyond belief.

 

Wow, in high school I couldn't wait on the next issue of Hotrod mag to see what Boyd was coming with. The man had a vision and he never strayed from it.

 

I liked some of his stuff, but damn he didn't know how to run his business and yeah, he was way whipped.

 

lots of nose candy and stress are not preservatives.

 

In the hospital for the last 51 days from a fall at home. Contracted an infection and a form of Hepatitis that shut down his liver and ended his life. Last few weeks were bad, dimensia etc.etc.....

He didn't live a healthy life style by any means...And had been very sick in the past..... Either way RIP...

RIP...the guy built an empire in the hot-rodding business. He may not have been the nicest guy but he did make a name for himself.

 

He went before his primer.

I'm sure the hundreds of suppliers he never paid will be waiting in line to get a payout when the business closes in a couple months

Damn shame. Amazing cars. I din't think he was such an asshole. He had one running his shop but he didn't seem too bad to me.

He was pussywhipped though.
