grandfather became ill and in his weakened state dropped the bike while rolling down the driveway into his garage.......my a$$, slid long enough to burn through the fairings into the engine covers.
They are both rare. Super pristine you might pull 10k for this one. Rashed fairings, admission to the bike sitting for years, but now is being ridden or was ridden, maybe 4-5k.
The original Michelins. You see 86 LTDs for sale quite often. The RRs not so much. I dunno would you give $5g then spend $2-2500 on servicing and a few tasty bits?
I got $3000 for my 89 GSXR 1100. It was kinda clean, needed carb work but I ran it anyway. Would sputter a bit on idle but once throttle was open never skipped a beat. I had stripped signal's, tail light's and a few other things. I guess the guy really wanted a molested oiler. All stock parts went with the sale. Was my 1st bike and took it to Willow for 1st & 2nd track day last year.
