Yeah, while I'd guess Young would probably at least like to get a decent salary, even if he came free, the cost to really run three riders has to be getting up there. I guess there could be some shared costs, but that's still a way bigger operation than EBR has run before. Though I guess it would be a less dramatic change than what they did from 2011 (when they were working out of a box truck) to 2012. But memories of seeing that tiny box truck in the Paddock make it hard for me to believe they'd seriously be considering a three-rider team in 2013.
 Very cool. But I still think it may come down to choosing between Young, Yates and West and deciding which of those three provide the best option to be a team-mate with Geoff.
If I had to choose between those three I would choose West. Young and Yates are great riders, but I think that West's flattrack background would work better on the EBR.
I believe Blake has more DT background than Corey. Blake has several Amateur National titles and was pro for part of a season.
Last time I watched West ride a dt bike was Houston FUSA race. Wasn't pretty Rode way over his head and cartwheeled the bike very nicely!
And I guess another thing that makes me skeptical is: If EBR does have the cash, why would they have let Eslick go to start with? I guess it's possible that they've been looking at Blake for a while and let Eslick go because they knew Yosh was dumping Young and that was their plan. And/or maybe Eslick just liked the Jordan option better and it wasn't a matter of just money.
I don't know why Danny decided to go to Jordan, but I would guess it was to be on more competitive equipment out of the box. Danny had to ride the hell out of the EBR in the turns only to have the I4 bikes walk away from him on the straights. Now if he has the straight line speed and corner speed he should be better off. Just my guess.
I don't think EBR "let Eslick go", I think he left for greener pastures. The EBR is a nice bike, but the Jordan bikes were the only non-factory bikes to win anything last year. I don't know about EBR's books, but from the sounds of it, Hero is dumping some huge money into the team. If they truly want to have a presence in WSBK, it could be possible that they'll run a three rider team in AMA this year and maybe have one of them do wildcards when possible.
So blake just "stops in" from wisconsin to florida Interesting http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=50531
I wonder if EBR is considering running two teams...a 'factory' (Hero) team, and a 'satellite' team...assuming they could drum up a sponsor. ...just a thought.
I'd guess they'd like to have as many people riding EBR's any way they can and would probably support any efforts. Has there been anything new on Pegram? Did I hear a Honda rumor at some point? Pegram seems to have some good things going with sponsors and publicity, but he won't be racing forever. I'd love to see him partner with a young rider to set up a team that can keep going when he doesn't have the energy anymore. If I were EBR, I'd be approaching him with offers of support and see if he could run Cory West with him. A Foremost team with Pegram and West could be really cool - and it would be fun to see Larry back on a twin.
