Caught the "Becoming Bond" documentary over the holiday [it's available on Hulu].... most entertaining thing I've seen in a long while... Description from Wiki:

Becoming Bond tells "the stranger-than-fiction true story of George Lazenby, a poor Australian car mechanic who, through an unbelievable set of circumstances, landed the role of James Bond in On Her Majesty's Secret Service, despite having never acted a day in his life. Then after being offered the next seven Bond films and a $1 million
[per the film under-the-table] signing bonus, he turned it all down."

Definitely worth a watch.... This is the story of a guy with zero acting experience bullshitting his way into the lead role of James Bond then absolutely killing it!

Highly recommend follow this with a "must see" re-view of OHMSS--hilarious after watching with a critical eye on Lazenby from his accounts of the production. OHMSS is surprisingly good, even now, and generally regarded as one of the best films in the franchise. Lazenby came from nothing, had it all, and walked away to go race motocross. I'll be stunned if this live-life-by-your-own-rules true story doesn't resonate like mad with this bunch. 4.5 stars!

It was extremely evident he could not act after watching the one he was in. He made a totem pole look animated.
