She marries a guy who will go to work every day and support his kids and pay the bills and be dull but reliable and faithful , then she finds someone fun to fuck.
When she gets caught, she convinces him it's his fault for spending too much time at work and with the kids, leaving no attention for her.
He drove her into the arms of other men, or teenagers, or whatever.
She thinks the marriage is worth saving if only he'll work on his shortcomings so she can feel safe in the relationship.
