top fuel and funny car racing was on in the bar at the place I was having dinner

How many runs do they get out of a set of rear tires? And what do they run for price? They did a super slow motion shot that showed the tires deforming at launch then growing over the run. I assume that they are $$$ based on the technology but wasn't sure how long they lasted

zertrider Waiting for snow. Or sun.

According to the NHRA fun facts, 4 to 6 runs in the 17" tire used on a nitro funny car or top fuel car. And the most expensive drag tire for JEGS is $700 for the Goodyear used on top cars.

I'm watching it too and wondering how the harleys are sooooo damn quick? They must have Ducati like influence over the rules!

That's typically 4, 1/4 mile passes and 4. 1/8th mile passes. Burnouts we count also
