Anyone work for or know anyone that works for Centurylink

As some of you that live in the sticks might know, Centurylink has been getting grant money to provide high speed internet for people in rural america. As luck would have it, my county just got upgraded.

My question is, the DSLAM is located at the end of my road and is patched into the ped that feeds my road. I am about 3/4 mile from it. What kind of speed can I expect? I'm thinking around 20Meg

I am current at a blazing 3Meg.. Before it became available, it said I was only eligible for 1.5Meg, now it says I'm eligible for 12Meg. I punched in my neighbor's addy who is over a mile away from his DSALM and it says the same thing so i think this is a generic thing on the website.

And of course they won't be out until the first week in January... ugh
