Anyone know a decent car mechanic shop in LA?

My sister contacted me out of desperation today. Her Toyota dealer wanted $5,000 to replace their proprietary XRIAS struts in her ‘13 4Runner. I got her out of there before they tore it down, but I’m curious if anyone has a good recommendation for a decent shop that won’t try to price gouge her to swap the oem shocks for a set of Bilsteins.

    Anyone have a recommendation?

I know a racer I trust that owns an auto repair in Rancho Cucamonga, but that could be a really long drive.

    What area is she in?

If close to Huntington Beach go to Zitos. Corner of magnolia and talbert.

Not sure where she is exactly. Some people refer to all of Southern California as LA

Thanksgiving thank you to Mongo & the repliers!

Mechdziner - Yeah, it’s ridiculous expensive.

Zamboiv - You’re damn close with that guess, though! Thanks!

Humblepie - I’ll pass that along!

Thank you again, gentleman. I hope you all have a wonderful Turkey Day!

That’s what I’m doing on mine. I see no reason to go back to XREAS. It’s just a hydraulic line linking the shocks.

Yeah, it’s proprietary, and innovative, but certainly not worth $5,000. I can get the OEM shocks replaced on my Aston for less. Unbelievable. Thanks again, fellas... it is much appreciated!
