I'm digging this speedtimer. It's quarz and solar. 1/100th second stopwatch for when you really think you can be that accurate. Love the 4 distinct dials. It's a bit of a pig size wise though.
The IWC portofino chrono is going. Maybe (most likely) the Sub. The Oyster perpetual, sam still loves it and we’ll probably give it to the kid so nope. the omega? Needs service and isn’t worth all that much so I’ll probably keep that. The Tags. Going to give the F1 to some relative of Sam and the Monaco I think is already sold. the shelf watches? Nothing you’d be interested in I think. the Seiko is the one I wear most often even if the time, date and day are no where right.
PM me a list ... IWC and Monaco would be of particular interest, especially if its a Monaco24. And shelf watches? I got a 19yr old.... interested!
@thrak410 Any interest in a Monaco Gulf? Like new. Actually, my wife and I are having thoughts of selling a few watches to buy a couple of others that we’ve been eyeing. Anybody looking for anything?
I’d love to have another Sub that I gifted myself after getting out of the Marines, but later had to pawn to pay for college. I paid $2800 for it in 1991! At $10k now that probably ain’t ever happening.
Dibs on his vintage panda that he doesn't have. So whatcha all got in terms of bronze watches? I grew up around old wooden boats and have worked with enough silicon bronze fasteners to last a lifetime. I love the look of that stuff after it's aged. I know some brands make bronze watches. What's y'alls experience?
I have a wood watch I got for a anniversary gift. Jord is the manufacturer I believe Too poor for brass, that's rich mans shit
Armida makes an excellent one. My diver version of their bronze A4. It's pretty bombproof and very thick. https://www.instagram.com/p/BwptqRcF-Vt/ https://www.armidawatches.com/ Look at the A1 in 42, and A8 as those are the two with Bronze.
Nah, there’s a few seikos but they’re the low dollar ones. I’d buy one when I’d travel to “less than nice” places. Cheap enough that I wouldn’t care if it was stolen, nice enough looking that they wouldn’t shoot me for getting a watch and maybe $40 if they robbed me. There’s a tissot quartz digital, a Swiss army chrono, an older tissot that I bought in the 90s. Might be more, I’ll look later. @thrak410 the Monaco is going back to the original owner. Bought it when he needed cash but it originally was a gift from an Indy car team he worked for to the team members. Everyone got a Tag.
The face is nothing special. Black chrono on a black band. It’s okay. Back is engraved to him and says the team. I should have bought the Omega they gave out a year or three later. I’d have kept that.
Replied to your note. Sorry to hear about the sales person, but hopefully they (FPJ) still have you lined up for the allocation. I'll up my bid to $4.50 for your old one
