Any Ford techs here?

    Sweet man... I appreciate it. Its like an awful grinding sound that you can feel through the floorboard. Only during a throttle input. Once you let off the pedal it goes away but does return if you press the accelerator shortly after.

    Okay. Give me few to run this through Ford.

    I do know there is a valve on 4x4 F150s that causes a problem like you’re describing. The problem is when that valve has an vacuum leak and the gears for the Xfer case are not lined up. Causes an awful grinding sound like the front diff or trans is trying to come apart. I’m not sure if that has anything to do with yours since it’s AWD but I’ll check on it also.

    I certainly appreciate the diligence. Driving through standing water while it's raining is the only thing that sets it off.
