    Slightly off subject but what are all these "we buy gold" storefronts all of a sudden? There are two within almost walking distance of us and there's hardly any people around here.
    Are these the new pawn shops? Has anyone used one?

    I took some stuff in we don't wear back when gold hit 2000. The guy offered what amounted to 1200 an ounce gold weight considering the pieces were mostly 14K. I LOL'd and walked out.
