So bummed they couldn't keep that thing in Orlando for more than a few years, but I guess it was always their plan to bounce it around the country...... Really well-organized event.
Would love to but have a race in Vegas. Really going to miss seeing JU inducted into the AMA Hall of Fame.
Likely Saturday AM, maybe Friday afternoon/evening. If you stay in the area go to Oliver's burgers steaks & bourbon. Oliver's is 1/2 mile south of the Convention center - while address is High Street it is on E Lynn Street (alley). Oliver's is at 26 N High St Columbus, Ohio I've not yet eaten there, but the food is supposed to be good and extensive bourbon selection. Why? I'm a photographer on the side and just did a photo shoot there on Sunday. The bands on Friday and Saturday are real good - blues/rock. Both International Blues Challenge Competitors in Memphis. Friday night - Doug Hart Band - out of Dayton Saturday Night - Johnny Mack & The Heavy Weights
No but I do need to speak with you about a very interesting project I'm working on that may or may not need a secondary/ back up battery.
Pretty sure the expo is just sat/sun, not Friday. I'm all over that area and never heard of Oliver's....will check it out. There's a good concentration of cool places at main and 4th streets downtown- we like The Walrus, Mikey's late night slice, El Camino, and 16 bit if not too crowded. Just up 4th street is Wolf's Ridge brewing, and a little further is Seventh Son (heavily biased toward IPA's, so not my thing). And of course if you've never been, gotta go to Thurman Café for a burger or pizza thin.
POOP!!!! Well I guess I will enjoy music Friday night and Expo in the AM. Though maybe I should see if I have connections...
Haha, thanks. We like the face-to-face conversations and being able to demonstrate our products for those who aren't familiar just yet. Also we walked around to the various manufacturer's booths before the show opened each morning and measured their "new for '18" bikes to see how our stands and trailer restraints will fit. Next year it is going to be in Vegas, so I may not be measuring bikes too early in the mornings
Saw this from a release last year, but don't see it anywhere else "AIMExpo VP/GM Larry Little in announcing the move to Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas from October 10-14, 2018."
