    Howdy everyone,

I have 2 hyperco springs, a #400-394 and a #400-396, that go on EX500 Penske's. Does anyone know which spring is heavier?Racer625 and I are trading springs since he weighs 160 and thinks he has a spring for a 190lb guy and I'm 190 and think I have a spring for a 160 lb guy. When I pulled my spring I found I had the higher number of the two so I don't want to send him a stiffer spring than the one he already has. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. - Christopher

Those are both 400lb springs. Since it would be impossible to make a "400lb" spring everytime, they make what should be a 400 then rate it. It looks like you have one that rated at 394 and one that rated at 396. Basically they're both 400's

    Thanks

Thanks Chris, I appreciate the info. I should have pulled my spring and compared numbers with racer625 before he sent me his spring. Would you have any idea if a 400 pound spring is better for heavier riders #180-200 or lighter riders #140-160? I think they are both on Penske equipped EX500's running f2 wheels and forks. Thanks again for your reponse. - Christopher
