8pm

What happens to the forum around 8 each night (central time). It literally slows to a crawl. It doesn't matter what device or where I'm at. It seems to be happening to others too, I see the double and triple posts that happens when in slows down and you click the "post" button over and over.

 

Yeah its strange I noticed it too. I've also had it act up at midday as well but it's not consistent, compared to what happens at night

 

I seem to remember it happening a couple years ago also

 

Maybe maintenance, especially if they're hosting this on a shared hosting environment.

 

They change the gerbil at 8pm nightly.

 

on the older version, it was always slow/unresponsive around 7am.

 

630am no worky for me. I never have a prob at 7-8pm. Sometimes around 11pm-12am.

 

It was 6:32 am ET every morning.

 

Ive noticed the 8pm thing too. Fine by 9pm?

 

8 pm is when the other mods come on board. I decided to out source the evening moderation to a mod center in India.

 

I noticed that too, it wasn't coordinated well with my morning dump. I had to start drinking coffee earlier.

 

Maybe an issue with net traffic in your area. That's when people start using home networks and streaming video.

 

Not here, every other website works just fine. It only appears to be WERA. (Mongo killing the interwebs?)

 

Maybe capacity at the server end.

 

If so then I have very bad luck. It's consistent on three devices across at least six different networks, three cities, and two states.

 

I thought it was just my old ipad. Maybe y'all are on to something.

 

THIS!! Until like 6:45-50ish. I've never seen it at 8 lately
