According to this article http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4790545/ the US army needs $879 million for combat helmets. Here http://www.interamer.com/other.htm it says a combat helmet is around 225.00. 879 million should buy almost 4 million helmets. Damn, where are they all going? I'll bet someone is getting rich...
that is probably for a contract that runs many years, rather than just for fitment of of all presently serving.
