6th grade teacher compares Bush to Hitler

Ok, a couple of points here.

At what point do liberals feel a line has been crossed? To compare any US President to Hitler is just flat out wrong in any case. This teacher is using his/her position to further their political/social agenda. I would say that is an abuse of power/authority and not education. It should be flat out insulting to every American, regardless of political affiliation.

Secondly, the assignment itself is incorrect and biased. The instructions state, "Now that we have read about two men of power who abused their power in various ways, we will compare and contrast them and their actions..."

That is factually incorrect, where and when did Bush ever abuse is powers as President? He didn't. Like his decision or not, he followed the Constitution with the full support of Congress. The lesson itself if full of incorrect bias. My concern with this point is that the assignment is drawing upon previous lessons. The school board evidently approves of those lessons.

I work for a German company. I have many many many German friends. Not ONE of those people will even acknowledge that he ever existed. He brought great shame on a fine group of people. They have taught me to forget he existed too.
