5K Deadspot

Discussion in 'Tech' started by ducelectronics, Sep 7, 2003.

  1. Got a small issue I"m trying to figure out. My Mille has a "dead" spot in the powerband around 5k. Not sure why. Throttle bodies (57mm oversized stage 1 kit) have been synched, I have the right chip installed that came with the exhaust (Akrapovic SBK replica dual 52mm full system) and for some reason, for example, if I'm at 4k cruising around in let's say second, I crack the throttle, and at 5 K there is a huge hesitation, but then around 5.3K it kicks in like a bat out of hell...

Any ideas? The bike is new with approx. 600 miles on it. I haven't had it in for the first service yet, but everything has been tuned for fuel, and air, along with all the catalitic stuff being removed?

Fuel curve is not right remap and tune with a good dyno.

Fuel curve. Its like. . .if it was a car(s) changing
from the stage where at rpm/power you go
fron pilot to main jet . . . thus the fuel delivery
    (mapping) may be incorrect.
