Has anyone successfully installed an aftermarket gauge on a KTM RC390? I just purchased one for racing, and the stock gauge is shit. I already own a KosoGp gauge and used it on an old FZR 400, and it was fantastic. I was hoping I could figure out the wiring diagram and plug it right in, but a buddy of mine just told me that this bike would not work without the stock gauge cluster plugged in. Has anyone gotten around this? Or did they just safety wire the OEM gauge to the back of the fairing stay behind whatever gauge is used. Thanks for any info.
