I know it has to be on here somewhere but apparently I suck at the search feature. What is the cheap way to remove it. Does anyone make a bolt on solution? I though I read about a Y pipe where you could cut the converter off and clamp the Y pipe on. The bike currently has a GYTR slip on. I would like to keep that.

I also heard something about using the 08 R6 ECU. Anything to that?

    John,

You can use an R6s header, open up the flange holes to mount up to the head. Then get an adapter from auto parts store or have a shop make one to adapt your slip on to the header. R6s header comes out in the perfect spot. Thats the way we ran katies bike for a whole season. Not the best or cleanest option. But at $10 for an 's' header and $4 for the adapter, its cheap.

I cut and welded in a Y pipe. It worked out fine. I also welded in the bung for the 02 sensor in the tail of the Y pipe

There are mid pipe makers. I think T-Tuner is one.
