I know it has to be on here somewhere but apparently I suck at the search feature. What is the cheap way to remove it. Does anyone make a bolt on solution? I though I read about a Y pipe where you could cut the converter off and clamp the Y pipe on. The bike currently has a GYTR slip on. I would like to keep that. I also heard something about using the 08 R6 ECU. Anything to that? John #607
John, You can use an R6s header, open up the flange holes to mount up to the head. Then get an adapter from auto parts store or have a shop make one to adapt your slip on to the header. R6s header comes out in the perfect spot. Thats the way we ran katies bike for a whole season. Not the best or cleanest option. But at $10 for an 's' header and $4 for the adapter, its cheap.
I cut and welded in a Y pipe. It worked out fine. I also welded in the bung for the 02 sensor in the tail of the Y pipe
