My friend has a 2007 Honda CBR600RR with a stock rear shock. I have a 2007 GSX-R750 with a stock rear shock. His stock shock spring rate is closer to what I need on my GSXR and my stock GSXR rear spring is really close to the spring rate he needs on his CBR. Is there any reason that we can't just switch springs. Like, is there a difference in spring diameter or anything like that which would complicate it?

    Thanks for any help offered.

racetech shows the same part number for the 07 cbr and the 07 gsxr fro the rear spring. this leads me to believe that they should be easily swapped.

ps, racetech makes note of a special spacer needed for the gsxr, and collar for the cbr, might want to look into that.

Well, Looks at the two bikes tonight it seems like we should be able to simply swap springs only.
