Built in 2010, less than 5 hours of track time, stopped riding in 2012, sat in my shop and garage since. Built by two motorcycle mechanic friends (one was a vintage WERA racer) -- finally ready to let it go. Used a complete 2006 KX450 and sourced the remaining parts: Athena 490cc Big Bore kit, FMF full exhaust, and a jet kit to support, braided brake lines, vortex clip-ons, after market rear-sets, custom bodywork (built for super singles), 636 front end (+R1 triple tree, I think), sv650 rear wheel, modified rear shock, and vortex rear sprocket. I kicked it over today and it runs good (I've kept the carbs drained and used non-ethanol). The fuel line to the carb is leaking - will replace if I get time. The air filter is rotted out. No title (can explain to interested buyers). Feel free to contact me with questions: [email protected].
Unfortunately, I can't take any trades @baconologist. I've received a few questions. In case the answers are helpful: It has a lot of pre-drilled holes for safety wire. The forks were re-sprung for 165lbs while they were on my old 636. I have box of parts: old cylinder head, matching brake rotor, some kx450 stuff, misc bolts. Comes with stand. The bodywork is made by catalyst composites. I think the rear wheel is 03-06 SV650 Did 4-5 track days at Jennings after the build.
