It's a Honda civic. Leave it on the road side.

Open the hood. Make sure the engine is still there.

Close hood. Cycle ignition 17 times with the radio tuned to 1280 AM and the AC set to "recirculate". Turn key off, turn on headlights, and then start car.

If the light doesn't go out, smash it with a hammer.

What is smashing the radio with a hammer gonna fix?

Wouldn't hitting the dash light with the hammer be more effective?

Dash lights don't make that annoying AM hum and static.

What did you have for dinner, lead paint chips and freon? :Poke:

I suspect if the dash light does start humming and making static you've got some bigger issues.

Maybe hit yourself with the hammer.

    Tried that.

    Humming got louder.

Static stayed the same, though. Perhaps more experimentation is needed.
