2003 R1

    A co worker asked me today about a 2003 R1 engine today. He has the motor in a cart, he is trying to get some more flow through the Throttle bodies for better starts. He was wondering if it was Ok to remove the secondary slides. And is he did what if anything would he need to do to it afterward. He is running alcohol in it, if that matters.

    Has he got a modified fuel system and ECU or is he running stock stuff on alcohol?
    A LOT more alcohol is required compared to to the volume of gasoline it USED to run.

    Yes the fuel system is modified. How I do not know because i have not seen the cart itself.

    He should probably ask some minisprint fuel system guys then.
    Mark at Factory would be my first call....
