see video here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=S8cJQaTS-PI This bike won the USGPRU national Championship in 2006/07. Alex Welsh rode it in 06. Ryan Ferris rode it in 07. Check the USGPRU results for those years to see the finishing. NEVER failed to podium in a race, with the exception of the last race in 07. We purposely held the rider at 10th place on the race, as thats all we needed to win the Championship safely. At end of 07 the bike was completely rebuilt with: NEW cases ( about 200miles on them) NEW crank (200m) Top end (200m) NEW wiring harness NEW bearing thru bike ( swiss bearings) Pipes completely acid bathed inside as NEW. Recently had Power valve cutoff upgrade done. Swingarm was machined to reduce wheel drag ( you can spin the wheel several times while on the stand now.) Engine was blue-printed and cases were matched. WP front and Rear FACTORY suspension . ( owned by Daniel Jackson before us). Completely rebuilt by Daniel last month. Frame is powder coated Black, black wheels. NEW paint ( yellow ) looks great. Carbon lower (on bike), yellow spare ( new paint ) lower and a spare red lower. MISC spares too many to list. Bike is low mileage as we bought it NEW in crate in 2005. Has about 3000 miles on chassis with ONLY 2 low sides ever, (right and left) frame is perfectly straight. Entertaining offers. Make us an offer mate! Were looking for the most we can get out of it, she also comes with quite a few spares. Daniel
Aprilia vs. Honda I am actually looking for an Aprilia RS250, but this may be a contender... The going rate for the Aprilia is about $3-5k depending on what comes with it. Are you guys in the same ballpark? Thanks, Mike
No mate, not even close. 2 entirely different bikes. the Arpilia is a neat track day bike, but thats where it ends off. ITs basically a street bike turned into track bike. The Honda is a full fledge GP race bike, factory made for race application only. ( almost twice the Bhp of the Aprilia), and not for a novice rider/racer. If your thinking of the Aprilia, I would go with it, good bike, good price, and a lot of fun. Daniel
I can't speak for Frank, but the Aprilia RS250 is a cup bike not a true gp bike and the honda RS250 should sell for twice the amount.
RS250 Still for Sale? Is bike still for sale? Please reply with selling price. I am in El Paso and will pay cash and come get it if we can strike a deal. Thanks, Tim
Wow people, WTF? Why is it that no one around here knows what these cost new and has no clue what goes into a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP BIKE ? They're $26,000 new and he's only added value to the machine, not really taken anything away from it. That said, 50% of retail value would be giving it away at $13,000 and a fare honest price would be closer to $15,000 or $18,000. If you can find a used machine of this pedigree for less, then go for it. Anything under $10,000 is insulting to the guy so don't even go there unless he's calling you and telling you about how his wife filed for divorce and he needs money for an attorney now. Frank, good luck with the sale. PL
