Valved forks, what weight you guys suggest running? 2.5 or 5?

Does it actually affect performance or just the position your adjustments will be in?

For instance if you are nearly maxed out with your adjustments on stiff you could change from 2.5 to 5? Or if on nearly full soft you could change from 5 down to 2.5?

Ive got #5 in valved GSXR6 forks. Just wondered since it said on the valve kit that #5 or #2.5 could be used.

    Thanks

    mdr14 What?

The theory behind lighter weight suspension fluid is that there should be a smaller change in damping with temperature change.

example, the shock should feel/perform at the beginning of the race close to what it will at the end of a race.

Usually you will have a greater impact on rebound damping when you change viscosity.
