17'' rear heel on Yamaha SRX600

    Help!!! I need to put a 17'' wheel on my SRX600. Any easy conversions? Any clues? Anybody care? Hello?

    Ask Greg Gabis, he ran a built SRX with one for a year or two...

    The hard part about transplanting wheels is the "interface" between the new and old parts. Even when the axles are the same diameter, usually you have to modify the hub to makes sure the spacers, sprocket, and rear brake line back up.

    But this is a Clubman bike. I'm supposed to spend every free minute modifying and swapping parts from other bikes, right?

    um, ah,
    a GS500/kat600 wheel takes about 30 minto install...3.5x17 takes a nice 140 rear STONE 090...contact me if you want more info.......
