The plastic connector that allows the reservoir to connect to the MC is broken at the base. https://www.ronayers.com/fiche/300_0321/front_master_cylinder/front_master_cylinder.bmp (Part #5) I ordered a new one, but it won't get here till too late, and next monday I have a track day, is there any way to fix this temporarily that will hold up, it leaks a good amount of brake fluid while riding. any help is appreciated. -Paul
Considering what it is carrying I would say try to find a new replacement piece. If it broke at the track all of the fluid from the reservoir would be all over the front end of your bike and the track. I took a look at mine and there is the possibilty of replacing the little plastic tube with a brass fitting if that is what is broke. You might be able to remove the little plastic tube with a dremel, thread the hole where the tube met the round piece that fits into the master cylinder, and install a threaded fitting that would let you connect the reservoir hose. If you were able to thread the piece I would say use all kinds of thread sealant and make sure it was strong with no leaks. You should try to replace it with a new piece if you can but I think in a pinch for a track day it could be fixed. Post up a pic if you have one.
