Who was at the Indy Dealer Show?

Discussion in 'General' started by Wade Parish, Feb 20, 2005.

  1. Wade Parish

    Wade Parish North Central Hawker

    I saw:

    Jason Pridmore
Kevin Schwantz (taller than I expected)
    Vincent Haskovec
    Josh Hayes
    Opie Caylor
    Mike Bell
    Robert Breeden
    Jason Temme
Huey Stewart (very hung-over & smaller than I expected)
    Aimee Scott-Kelly

Anybody else notice how many Vesrah bikes there were? I swear I saw almost a dozen, all in different booths.

Also, did anybody else notice how skanky virtually all the model chicks were? I saw so many that had this weird orangy-yellow color to their skin and way too much make-up on. Poor girls. Yick.

    Add to your list:

    Aaron Gobert
Some 7 foot tall guy from the Indiana Pacers

Ok, how are you guys getting in? I was thinking about going but I was at a dealer last week and they told me that you had to have a pass to get in.

I knew it was a dealer show but people on here seem to go that are not dealers.
Wade, how did you get in?

  12. Mud Whistle

Mud Whistle Get my icebike ON!

Add Aaron Yates, John Jacobi, Bubba Stewart and Matt Hotch (from the Biker Build-Offs). Talked to Josh Hayes for a bit about Macau, what a nice guy. Hayes was all smiles at the Teknic boothm, standing out front chatting everybody up while Yates stood behind the desk in the middle of the booth looking pissed.

We had a dealer friend that got us passes.

  13. backdraftmoto

    backdraftmoto I make Nissan trucks...

When I talked to Yates on Saturday, NOBODY wanted his autograph. He was just sitting there playing on his cell phone.

Add Shawn Higbee to the list.
    And the infamous StarBoyz

I'm a celebrity, bro! You think if Keith Richards showed up, they just wouldn't let him in? ;)

(Actually, I know a guy that knew a girl who knew a guy. Luckily, they don't check the NAME on the pass 'cuz mine said "Faunette".)

  15. Hyperdyne

    Hyperdyne Indy United SBK

I had a dealer pass through my sponsor, but they didn't even check. Walked straight in the door and guard just smiled...

Got to see alot of good peeps..

    Geoff May
    Vinnie Haskovec
Aarron Yates (and nobody wanted his autograph (too funny)
    Ope Dogg
    Mark and Nancy Junge
    Lee Acree
Bubba Stewart (with a sweet dodge ram behid him)

All in all there were a ton of cool folks around... And whomever made the comment on the overall skank factor of the girls this year was right. Yeckkk

    :Puke:

On a seperate note though.. If you ventured into the dome, the Indysuperbike guys were though shelling out cool RRW actionfund armbands (ala livestrong) for $2.00 that went to the fund. Good stuff all around.:)

Well it would be a 3 hour drive down for me so I would need to know that I was getting in, maybe next year I will plan ahead.
    Thanks

I heard a certain racer/part time wrestler was 3 sheets to the wind Saturday. Had to have help sitting still

  19. backdraftmoto

    backdraftmoto I make Nissan trucks...

The ATVs with tank treads were pretty interesting.

The amount of Chinese ATV and moto manufacturers was rediculous. There must have been over 20 different ones and all the bikes looked the same.

One of my favorites was the Oakley truck. Too bad it was fitted for dirt bikes.

Oh, and the special Pirelli calendar hall way. Naked chicks, man how do I get one of those calendars?
