Sorry, I couldn't find the original thread...its Derby week. There's some good hockey going down.

 

I might have to pay a little attention to hockey starting next season now that a team is moving to the state.
Granted, from what I have read they are pretty much the worst team in the NHL.
But still, I'm sure local news will have a lot more hockey coverage now.
Will it draw me in to watch a game in person?
Fuck no, getting into downtown and finding a place to park by the Delta Center is pure shit. I hate that stadium and downtown.
However, the TV is always around.

 

Rangers are chewing up the Caps. I might be out after Sunday.

I caught the first game of that series and the first period alone was awesome! I think it was 5 to 4 end of the first and those are two of the best goalies in the league… crazy great game 7-6 final score… I haven’t seen any games since…

Rempe - making hockey great again…. I am not onboard with 100% of his moves but he’s sure making it fun to watch again for the average fan. Pretty sure I’m the only one within a 50 mile radius of me who has the NHL package subscription

 

Actually went to the Bolts game last night hoping they wouldn't get swept.... and well, they played a good game and got a stay of execution!

Sat on the couch 5 hours ago and haven’t left, great night of hockey! Except Leah Hextall, she is the fucking worst. I don’t understand how she is allowed on the air. I’ve never heard a good female announcer but this bitch is nails on a chalkboard bad, hope she’s done after this round.

 

The Avs are giving me some hope they can make a run. Western top seeds are being challenged. Barry Melrose mentioned earlier… I miss him on the coverage, what a treasure!

 

I miss Roenick, his comments were great. Can't stand PK. I'm waiting for the day Messier smacks him for some stupid comment.

 

Oh, well, at least Edward's is retiring.....finally!

 

I’m a casual fan of hockey compared to you guys but getting to see JR play, with my number, in the 90s with Chelios and Belfour and the rest of that era made me a fan for life. His commentary was really enjoyable, even his joking, or maybe not, about threesomes that got him fired… at least he was unfiltered unlike most talking heads.
