Running around Japan/Okinawa for a week. The yen is super weak against the dollar, so things are finally affordable in Japan! This lunch with 10 pc sushi and tea was just $7. Such a shock to go from chaotic, anything goes Vietnam to orderly, clean and polite Japan.

oh wow! thankfully made it out unscathed. MUCH more security at the airport than i was used to though. security and search to get into the airport, then normal security, then another search before boarding plane.

 

yeah! we found the more we went around turkey and istanbul the more there was to see. between troy, gallipoli istanbul etc...and i know theres many more we shouldve gone to see.

Anzac bay... Seeing the trenches from WW1. Standing in them. How close they were etc. An emotional place. Almost 1100 Newfoundlanders fought here. About 40 are still there.

 

Mostly Aussies, but yeah, surprised how many Europe types are there.

My daughter was playing in the Turkish premier league.

I didn't get over, and Hakkari is a bit too close to Iraq and Iran for me.

 

Is it the angle of the photo or is that field kind of short?

 

It's mostly the lens, but that field is JUST big enough to be legal.
