I have stopped at a multi-manufactuer dealership that is less than 2 hours away from PittRace... dealership had no idea that PittRace existed or that MA had event there!!!
So that tells you how much the manufacturers and MA are reaching out for fan base.

 

I think that "Us" as racers "Assume" that the general motorcycle community is aware of racing when in fact they are "Not". As frustrating as it is for us racers it's the reality. The fact is that the majority of people who own and ride a motorcycle do not know of or give a shit about racing.

For most people at a first impression glance... Racing is too dangerous, too expensive and impossibly out of reach.

We live in a country of people who were raised around ball and stick sports and that have the impression that racing is dangerous as fuck and you are going to die or get seriously hurt if you do it but embrace downhill snow skiing as a safe activity.

 

One ball sports are so easy to get into, our daughter came up with everything she needed and signed up for soccer before we knew she was interested. $0 invested, and she was on the team.

There was talk in the paddock at CoTA about Estenson buying into Westby but I guess that must have feel through. Simone needs to ring up the Trackhouse boys. This is ripe for them

 

Unfortunate, I really hope someone comes along and picks up the Westby capital to make a new team.

Honestly $250k seems really low. You can’t race a European kart season at the highest levels for that.

they aren’t. Plus, young people are poorer than ever. So many people are completely delusional, not sure if it’s because they’re older and don’t understand the cost of living for someone 18-21 and the job market. I mean there’s literally guys in my peer group like 26-30 years old saying how they’re so glad they’re not 18, talking about back in the day as if they’re 40 year olds because the country has changed that much in only 4-5 years.

whoever is saying they don’t want corporate sponsors must either be rich or not race, corporations literally have all the money (that we need to race)
