My step son just got a pair of Brunt work wear boots and he said they're amazing. https://bruntworkwear.com/products/...qGFXwL0Tvpq-4XppBAkGDFxpkRQYig8xoCV-IQAvD_BwE I think those are the ones he got. He works part time in his Uncles shop doing a bit of wrenchin'.
Up in post #5, there’s a link to Nick at Fox. Give him a call. He deals in loggers and custom made options and can give you the lowdown.
Lather these bitches up with mink oil or baseball glove softener for a week and these will be the most comfy boots ever. I know you use to be able to get them resoled, but not sure now. Soft as Air Jordans when broke in: https://www.redwingshoes.com/work/mens/safety-toe/SuperSole-2.0-02406.html
Glad no one has spoken for Irish Setters....worst boots ever. I think they were made for the dogs they were named for. I bought a pair, wore them so they weren't returnable and threw them out in the box they came in.
My feet have been the most comfortable in Vasque boots I discovered in the late '70's, after wearing Red Wings for years. The last two pair of boots purchased however have been Klim, in different heights. I love the BOA (tm) lace system! That being said, I'm looking forward to visiting one of the boot fitters listed above. Nice ride to either one of them.
Whats the word on Danner boots nowadays I'm in the market for some new ones. Last 2 resole jobs on my Red Wings were less than stellar and ended up with wet feet.
I called red wings and talked to Hannah and all of the materials and everything are sourced in the US, the leather soles and everything else and sewn in the US the Wolverine boots that they make as well our American source materials that are sewn ““ in another country“
I want "work boots" handmade in the USA. Redwing does not make anything in the USA I'd consider for actually working in.
Yes, if Sidi boots are your jam, Keen may not be for you. My feet aren't "wide" but damn those boots feel better than any Ive tried. The best thing about about a good pair of workboots is taking them off
The only work boots they make are safety toe. I do not want safety toe, despite the username. Origin soft toe boots are for casual wear and not sturdy enough for working in. I do like their boots.
Their American-made stuff have the US flag on them. The offshore models do not. Their prices will reflect the difference, as well.
