Looking for some advice here. Never been to Daytona and I’m racing at the end of October. Do you guys have any clue what gearing I should run?

    bike: 17-24 Suzuki GSXR 10000
    Currently set up 16/41 520

    Thank you in advance

Damn man with a 10000 you should win easily!!

With that engine, I'd do like 8/12 gearing :D

Start with stock and you'll know which way to go after 1 lap. A lot depends on which direction the wind is blowing so bring all the sprokets

    On my ZX6R 636 I am +0 front and -3 back (16/40)
    Stock is 16/43

Wouldn't know how this translate on the 1000cc

Annnndddd yes, train that neck !

Lucky for you, you don’t have to soften the top of your tank. We use to duct tape pool noodles to the top we’d get so beat up in the banking 20 years ago. This was when chest pads were in their beginning. We’d come in with black and blue chests on superbike 750s and 1000s.

No need to bring tires as you'll be buying them at the track

I answered a call from home there one night and the chick at home asked if it was a nightclub or a strip joint…. I’m still not sure… there were naked chicks but no lapdances but private rooms… might have been a whorehouse o_O:whoosh::p

I think Molly Browns was strip club close to Razzles.
what a shit show Razzles was. Never failed to get into some kind of scuffle or altercation.

16/43 is the standard for the R6, some guys run a 17 tooth front so they can use first gear in the horseshoe.

I have no idea on the 1000 stuff. I rode one there once and if you can hold it flat from the exit of the chicane through the braking zone for T1, you're a tougher man than me!

Man I don’t even care for the place but whacking the throttle open coming out of the chicane and jumping the curb and letting it dance and weave spinning and sliding up to the wall and then the down cut pointed to the tri oval spinning and drafting is one of my favorite things on a Superbike…. Man I miss it!
