Storm surge got into a lot of houses on the Weeki Wachee river and Hernando beach. About 3 feet in the river houses close to the Gulf. The houses further up river did good even with the surge. Lots of stuff floating away.

Saw that. We drove through that area on Sunday coming home from Njoy Spirits. Lots of mattresses and furniture sitting outside ruined.

As usual, after these events, there will be water-damaged
cars dumped on the market. People need to be especially
careful when it comes to EVs. Batteries that have been
submerged in salt water are subject to bursting into flames
weeks or even months later because after they dry out
there may be salt "bridges" formed that can create a
circuit and cause a short. Or, if it's your EV that got wet
you need to not park it in a garage or near other cars or
    buildings just in case.
