I'm watching a channel streaming through Roku and the voices are out
of sync with the lips, wtf is causing that? It's driving me crazy.
I know audio and video are separate, are they being transmitted through
different sats, or one through sat and one ground transmission, or what?
I like to understand the things I'm bitching about and this is right up your alley.

    Not asking for a friend.

I know the older TVs had that problem. Depends on what you are using for audio. HDMI for both or something different for audio (optical, BT, etc..) Some TVs allowed you to adjust the timing to sync the audio to the video. Seemed like its no longer an issue for the most part.
