No digging required. Cameron Beaubier is in the middle of a two-year deal with Yamaha Motor Corp., U.S.A.
I honestly dont see the sense, in this stage of his career, to move from production SBK over to the insanely competitive Moto2 grid where 0.7sec can make the difference between starting on Pole, and starting 17th. The only exception would be if he is getting paid a good salary, and will be on a bike/team capable of winning. A move to WSBK makes much more sense, at least to me.
You can use all the semantics you want. You stated the beeb isn't a place for a credible response on the rumor. Swarts gave us that response.
Is Swarts privy to any negotiation CB may be having with Yamaha for an early release of his contract?
dang, I thought he was going to jump on the HRC seat since Marquez is transferring to tennis in hopes of rebuilding that shoulder/arm/forearm/wrist/life.
Cam is in a two-year contract with Yamaha that extends through 2021, but sometimes people are able to get out of contracts one way or another. I guess time will tell.
Why does Moto2 seem like Cam would be “settling”? I’d really be surprised if that’s where he went. Seems he’s been patient enough to wait for the right time to go. Wouldn’t it be in WSBK?
