Or just check out Nations Starter and Alternator. They supply whole kits to do exactly that. They were the supplier for Roadtrek and the underhood generator, which was just a 280amp alternator.

That's really not true anymore. Custom "builds" have gained quite a bit in popularity since people decided that the one-size-fits-all floorplans weren't really doing it for them. Especially on class Bs, which builders tend to ignore.

 

If yous seriously want to use batteries and solar for AC look at some sailboat stuff. They make 12V stuff. Youll need an ass load of batts and panels to run it full time though.
