Roy Clark RIP

A real shame. I grew up watching Hee Haw with my Dad. It wasn't my kind of music (being 12 years old) but I did like the show a thought he was a good player. Later I realized he was a fantastic stringed instrument virtuoso.....RIP Mr Clark

 

Bummer. He made Buck Owens seem like a novice on Hee Haw.

Yep! I will take the ban. Not the best version, but I remember watching this when it was on originally, I couldn't breathe for 20 minutes afterwards.

 

I did and also searched "The Lightning Fingers of Roy Clark" on youtube. DAAAAAAMMMMMMNNN!!!!!!!!

 

He came to my high school in '81 to do a benefit concert for our football field house of all things. Super nice guy! I also got to "roadie" for him for the show. They let some of us help setup his stage.

 

He could play anything with strings at a very, very high level. RIP guitar slinger.

 

Bet that cat was pickin' and a-grinnin' right up to the end.

RIP and thanks for the memories.
