Someone posted about "back in the day on the BBS..." so I looked to see how long I have been here.

16 years.

November 2001, so not quite 17 years.

Sure wish the beeb had been here when I first started with WERA in 1980.

 

Racing is the reason we bought our first computer.... I was calling Comp Acc and ordering $400 worth of parts over the phone every day looking a little booklet... (My debit card was only good for $400 per day...)

Was racing CCS at the time. Signed up when I thought I was going to do the endurance race at Summit Point that year. Then Fetsko did a Fetsko thing (I can't remember) but I stayed anyway.

 

17+ Don't remember how long before the big software changeover which reset the clock.

 

Yeah, I think we (and Garth and quite a few others) came in the second wave to the BBS. All within a few months/ a year of one another. The OGs, there's still a few like Tom (who sucks), YamahaRick, Mongo and Paige.
Then there was the third wave which was Putter, ScottyRock, Powder and all those dopes were like wave 3.

So, yeah, almost two decades of this place. My head hurts.

I remember joining the WERA BBS when it first started. Fall of 2000 if I remember correctly. I lasted until 2003 when I got the full time ban, but thankfully Mongo mellowed in his old age and let me back in recently.

 

9yrs registered plus a couple of years of lurking before that.

 

I don't remember. I was supposed to do the race with you and we didn't. So obviously, you fucked something up.
