Experiments, by their very nature, look for inconsistent results that may indicate a fallacy in the hypothesis. Failing to find a fallacy does not "Prove" the hypothesis, only fail to disprove it. Unfortunately, we usually call this a proof...Gravity's affect on photons is a good example. Einstein predicted it and it was "proved" via experiment. Nothing of the sort, it just appears to work that way and so far nothing has been shown to disprove it so we accept it as fact (that is until we're shown to be naive)...

The humility, and that a lot of the physics/life sciences people is always enjoyable. Einstein himself was steadfast and exacting in his predictions for gravity’s bending of space time within his theory of general relativity. He said that, if Eddington’s observations of “the most important eclipse” back in 1913 (I think) were any degree off his predictions, then the whole concept would have to be abandoned. As it were, his theory perfectly predicted that you could see around the sun without looking through it.

The Falcon is a whole different story, it's so fast they had to use distance instead of time to describes it's awesomeness.

If you dont trust science, scientists, or the scientific method give up all the tech that those things have provided you. Cell phone, gps, radio, microwaves just for a start.
