So, I'm intrigued... Why do you wanna mask an IP address?

If you can't talk about it, just reply with "..." :D

Based on the responses I’m assuming you are referring to IP spoofing and not subnet masking. I know very little about spoofing but if sub netting is your goal I can help.

An onion network is the way to go if you want some expectancy of privacy. They will at least have to work really damn hard to track you down. Do a little reading.

Not clear what you are trying to accomplish, but I use NordVPN and like it.

This is why I started using NordVPN. I wanted to watch Tigers games, had an MLB.TV account but I didn't want to pay for cable. I am in their blackout area.

Pick a country to use an IP based there and click start. That easy.

Yeah, I'm not trying to take part in human trafficking in the dark web, just trying to spoof my IP address so I can watch baseball. Agreed there are many, many more secure solutions for your online identity. I was asking what he was trying to do, so we could give him the best solution.

In a related question. Can someone pm me how to make my router show a different location that where I’m at? I might need to have my cable box show a Chicago location instead of Indiana

In our case, VPN is your friend. PIA (Private Internet Access) - shown earlier in this thread allows you to connect to internet locations around different parts of the country and in other countries. There are others, but this is a good one. I pay for it for the year and use it on my iPad when I'm traveling for work, or want to watch an out of area game/event.

Edit: Sorry - missed that Chris was already using VPN. I skipped over a couple of posts in replying.
